Spray ‘n Wash has a new product called Bright ‘n White. I am a HUGE lover of bleach and I use it in every load of whites that I do. I honestly own like 10 white shirts because I spill something on myself every day and like to be able to bleach out the evidence. But bleach can be pretty tough on clothes. And if you read the labels on most of your stuff you aren’t even supposed to use bleach. Even on white shirts!
So I thought I would give a bleach alternative a try. Maybe it would let me expand my wardrobe to a few different colors! And Spray ‘n Wash offered to send me a bottle to review.
So I used it. All 44 oz of it. And here is what I think:
I LOVE the smell! Nice a clean smelling without making me sneeze! And I believe you have to like the way your laundry products smell. So one point for them!
It has almost a fabric softener quality to it. I was going to try using it without my regular drier sheets, but I forgot. I am going to have to do that when I get to the store to get another bottle! But my clothes were softer than usual.
As for the Bright ‘n White, most of my clothes didn’t get washed enough times to judge if it keeps things brighter and whiter, but since I bought new clothes while using it they sure did look that way. And after three or four washes there wasn’t any noticable fading. I will have to give you a follow up when I get through another bottle and my clothes have made a few more trips through the spin cycle.
It smells good, makes your clothes soft, and so far seems to keep it Bright ‘n White promise. That is all fine and great, but for me to be brand loyal I have to LOVE something. What made me actually willing to fork out my own money for a bottle is the stain removing ability. Although it isn’t magical, it is pretty darn close.
We are HARD on clothes at my house. I like to keep my clothes usable, but I am not going to forfeit LIVING in them to keep them that way. The girls in my house (includeing me) have a tendency to spill. And Spray ‘n Wash Bright ‘n White did an above average job of getting it all out.
The chocolate ice cream that made its way through the dryer not once, but twice without having the stain treated still had a stain after treating it with the Bright ‘n White. But the greasy hamburger ‘juice’ that got on my new green shirt the first time I wore it (and sat there for 7 hours before I could get home to wash it) came out still looking new. The strawberry stains that were on Toots white jumper for four days before I discovered it in the diaper bag vanished. The stains, not the jumber. Chocolate, blood, general dirt and everyday stuff all came out beautifully. And that is a big deal in our house.
But don’t take my word for it. Leave me a comment (with your email address) and tell me something about your stains! Make sure you leave an email address and you will be entered to win a 44oz bottle of Spray ‘n Wash Bright n’ White to try for yourself. I will be picking two winners on Wednesday, so you have until midnight on Tuesday April 7th to enter.
